EarthGirl Paola: Turning the Night Soil

3 October 2011 No Comment

What makes you an EarthGirl?
I feel we can all give something back to the earth.
Everything we consume in our bodies comes from soil, plants, animal, resources, etc. And all of that can go back to the planet. And my projects embody that belief…

Please tell our readers what you’re working on that’s positively impacting our planet and its people.
Via my website www.compostera.com , I’m spreading the idea that the use of composting toilets by people in all countries will substantially help the environment, save water, and improve living conditions for all now and in the future.
 Go look! www.compostera.com

Who or what has inspired you to do amazing things?
Cristopher Linstrom (link??) and his concept of composting toilets used to recycle human waste into soil as literally “Giving back to the earth” moved me to action…

What environmental cause would you like to promote with your image?
“We came from dust, we return to dust”

When did you become aware of how magnificent our planet is, and the power of human action with Her?
I began to appreciate the good that this beautiful planet provides me once my heart and mind were in alignment with the good actions and movements of my own body.

Do you have any earth-friendly rituals you’d like to share with us?
I bless my food and I pray for the sustenance of those who are without food. And both in my projects and in daily life, I improving the soil through proper recycling/composting of human waste, which means better crops to feed humanity, and stronger ecosystems in nature.

What change would you like to make, that would help our planet in some way, that you haven’t made already?
Eating healthfully to achieve and maintain peace within myself.
And I’d like to see all of us recycling our human waste into soil to improve the health and harmony of the planet.

What do you think is an important change that consumers and corporations should make TODAY for a better world tomorrow?
This question in turn raises the challenging question of whether or not man and her corporations can be sufficiently taught to become economically and agriculturally cooperative rather than simply competitive, which in turn can reduce needless destruction of natural resources.

What one thing has someone said about you that has made you feel proud and accomplished?
My character as a human being defines my way of living: a free person loving nature itself for what it provides; teaching and helping others with love and humbleness as the universe itself pays me back.

What obstacles do you encounter and how do you break through them?
“Obstacle” is not in my vocabulary!

Do EarthGirlz really have more fun?
Of course! Nature is always more fun!

Can you share a little something more with our EarthGirlz readers?
The planet is not ours; we are part of the planet.

You’re trapped on an island, with a tree that only grows one thing. Could be anything. What is it?
Coconuts!

Okay, make your Earthgirlz wish…
I wish that finally we awaken into a better world.

If you’re in the South Florida area, come see the first three photographic works of the Project Mahavidya series THIS SATURDAY, October 8th, at Diamonds N The Ruff (A Wynwood Artwalk Afterparty). And if you like this post, let us know by “liking” and “sharing” us! :)
